Autumn Inspiration

Sometimes inspiration can be found in the most unlikely places. Dolly Parton's knit dresses, tight sweaters, circle skirts and waist cinching belts are pretty darn cute in Nine to Five. Secretary chic? Just maybe.

I want my hair like that so bad.

How can Dolly get away with such high necklines? I have HUGE trouble with wearing them, cause I'm petite and large chested, but Dolly looks great!

(Yes, I'm oft compared to Dolly!)

Great Autumn Colours there!

Love Lily Dolly and Jane, love that film, love the perfect casting of Dabney Coleman as Mr Misogynist.

Veronica Darling - maybe the big skirt underneath, balances out the big top look?
The Costume Director knows what she is doing - Ann Roth among many awards, has an Oscar for The English Patient, and noms for Nicole in The Hours, and The Day of the Locust (1930's frocks).
She was born in 1931 appropriately.

Yes, you are right Veronica Darling, how does she get away with all those high necks? But somehow it works. And yeah, you do look at bit like Dolly, which can only be a good thing. She looks sooo pretty in Nine to Five.
