Lovely Elizabeth

I've had a tough week so I've decided some random Elizabeth images are in order. The legendary movie star had heart surgery recently and her numerous battles with illness have been well documented and all endured in the public spotlight. I doubt she can recall a time when she wasn't famous. She actually tweeted about her recent op ... almost enough to make me join Twitter. What an amazing lady, and what a breathtaking face. Enjoy.

Thanks Louise for your comment on Ava Gardner. I must get hold of her biography. I was saddened to read she died in her sixties after having a couple of debilitating strokes. I love your photos of Liz Taylor. Couldn't get over her tiny waist.
Also very interested to see the Fortuny being worn. Just mad about those dresses. Have the same dress on my blog. I did see one come up on Ebay once but don't think it had the wonderful belt. It was about half the price of the one on the wonderful Vintagetextile site. Have been enjoying your blog very much.

What a lovely collection of Liz pictures you posted here, Louise. I'm always surprised how beautiful she used to be. As I'm not a big fan of her current looks...

I love Cat on a Hot Tin Roof too. Her performance in that is amazing.
And Paul is crazy gorgeous in that role, even with the crutch!
